* NO CLASS ON April 14th (4/14) *

3 hours one day a week class covers all the basics of making pottery. Include basic wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing techniques. Students will have a chance to have full experience in all stages of the ceramic-making process.

During all 5 weeks of class, students are free to use the studio for practice during student practice hours.

Week 1 – Wheel throwing session #1
Week 2 – Wheel throwing session #2
Week 3 – Wheel throwing session #3 / trimming demo and handle making for mugs, working with leather hard clay
Week 4 – trimming and post-production session
Week 5 - glazing demo, student works-share, lessons learned, and discussions

Our studio values student developments: and our philosophy focuses on practice and exploration rather than productions. Each studio will have a chance to make 6-7 medium size pieces to take home at the end of the class.

This is a boutique studio; each group class will have a maximum of 6 to 7 students to ensure everyone has enough guidance and attention. Cost includes all tools, materials, glazes, and firing.

This class is an adult/young adult class, recommended for students aged 16 and older.
